We also understand how we need to show respect and be respected. Finally we will celebrate Christmas together by reading the Nativity Story. There is a book swap morning, which in Hippo class is on a Thursday morning. You are welcome to come and change your child's book and stay to read for a short time. PE will be on a Wednesday Morning. PE kits will be needed for this. It is important to name all clothing in PE kits. This way we can make sure all items are returned to the correct person
We have lots of exciting visits planned in our local area. A visit to our local woods and the local shops. We will also take part in a Diwali Dance workshop and visit the Pantomime in Mansfield "Cinderella"
Homework will be based on reading and sound recognition. The work will be sent home on a Friday and will be based on sounds the children will be learning in class. When reading the children will gain stickers and certificates when they have achieved 25 reads at home and every 25 steps thereafter. You can monitor their progress on the poster found in the class window.
