Special Educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
At John T. Rice Infant and Nursery School, we recognise, value, and respect individual differences and are committed to ensuring that all learners are treated as of equal value. We foster positive attitudes, build constructive relationships, and promote a strong sense of cohesion and belonging across our school community.
We are dedicated to identifying and removing barriers to learning, reducing inequalities, and ensuring that every child has the support they need to succeed.
For any enquiries relating to Special Educational Needs (SEN), please contact our SENCO, Mrs. Samantha MacDonald, at senco@johntrice.notts.sch.uk.

APTCOO (A place to call our own)
APTCOO’s vision is to support young people from early years through to adulthood to enable them to achieve their full potential in life. They have created unique spaces in the local community for almost 30 years, based in Mansfield and more recently branching out with properties in Budby and Thoresby set within the beautiful Sherwood Forest. They are motivated by the social, economic, health, environmental and community benefits, and are committed to bringing those benefits to as many people as possible, including marginalised and vulnerable groups.
