Police visit

A visit by the local police officers

It is important we all understand how police officers can help us so we invited our local police officers PC Bray and PC Price into school to help us understand more.

They visited our nursery and showed the children all the items they use to help them do their job.

Our visitors spoke to the whole school in an assembly. The children learnt what different things they police would arrest somebody for and also what type of things we could go to the police for help for. They then showed all the items they use to help them do their job. We even got to hear PC Bray speak to his station officer on his radio - we loved saying hello to him!

We know now that the police are there to help and support us and protect us from people who want to hurt others.

We have enjoyed a visit by our local PCSO's Amanda and Leah.  They helped us understand how they support the police officers. They talked to us about their equipment and also what to do if we get lost when we are out and about.  They also talked about playing on our gardens and not playing out on the street and always telling a grown up where we are.
